This week's scam warning

Each week, one short warning about a scam going around, in plain words.

Every Monday, PonchoGuard picks one scam that is going around, based on public alerts from the FTC and the FBI. If there is no new warning, a short built-in lesson plays instead.

Where to find it

  1. On the parent's home screen, look for the card This week's scam warning. Tap Read it to me to hear it.
  2. On a landline or basic phone, call the phone line at (888) 488-1785 and press 3.
  3. Helpers also see it in the weekly family email.

Turn the card on or off

  1. Open Settings, then Home screen.
  2. Turn This week's scam warning on or off.

For a landline, a helper can also turn on a weekly warning call. See Daily check-in calls.
